We look forward to seeing you at one of our gigs in 2016!
The Logan Brothers had a great weekend of music and fun. We played both at Kanpai Sushi and Bar on Friday and then The St. Regis in Aspen. Both nights rocked!
On Friday at Kanpai, Dave and Beth from the band Fifty50 were in the house; at 10:30 after The Logan Brothers' gig, we jammed together. Lyn and I provided the rhythm section, Steve, lead guitar, with Dave and Beth on guitar, vocals and harmonica.
There weren't too many people left to hear us, but we had fun and the staff enjoyed listening to us as they were cleaning up!
Musical collaboration is so much fun. You will often find other musicians singing or playing with us at Logan Brothers' gigs.
This weekend is the one-year anniversary of The Logan Brothers Trio first playing together. To celebrate, we are playing at Kanpai Sushi and Bar on Friday, December 18, from 7:30-10:30pm. Kanpai will offer to anyone who mentions our anniversary, a free hot Saki for every $30.00 spent on food or beverages throughout the evening. We hope to get a raucous crowd willing to sing along, request their favorite songs and celebrate with us! We hope to see you there!
Steve and Jonathan (the Duo) will also be playing up at The St. Regis Hotel in Aspen on Saturday, December 19, 8-11pm. We hope you will come and see us there if your plans include Aspen this weekend.
The Logan Brothers were invited to play at the annual end-of the-year KDNK member and Board meeting and we played there last night. Being a small room where people were mingling, we played acoustically. With the exception of playing the bass through a small amp at next-to-nothing volume, we were unplugged. Steve, of course, had the voice to carry the room, but it was a challenge. Never the less, we think we were successful and it was fun to be a part of the meeting. Thanks to Board President, Karen Barbee, and Station Manager Steve Skinner for the invitation!
While our web site has been up for about a year, today The Logan Brothers launch The Logan Brothers' News Page! We're excited to start sharing new and exciting happenings and let you all know the latest, greatest in the world of our band.
It's been a great year, capped by winning The Glenwood Post Locals' Choice Gold award for the Best Local Band/ Musician Category:
The end of the year also marks the year anniversary of The Logan Brothers playing as a trio with Lyn joining the band. We're playing a gig a week from Friday (Friday, December 18, 7:30-10:30) at Kanpai Sushi and Bar, our favorite place to play, and we plan to celebrate our one year anniversary. We hope that many of our good friends come and celebrate with us. This will also be the last Glenwood Springs gig of the year. We do have a couple more gigs in Aspen before the end of the year. More on both of these gigs later.
Steve and Jonathan played a new gig last Saturday as a duo in El Jebel at the Bangkok Happy Bowl. We had a great time and the people there and the management really enjoyed our music. In fact, the management has offered The Logan Brothers trio a regular gig on the second Saturday of each month for six months starting in January. These gigs will be reflected on our calendar on our booking page (click here)
shortly. We're excited to be a regular part of live music in the Roaring Fork MId-Valley.
