A few upcoming gigs to tell you about...
This coming Friday, February 23, we're back in Eagle at The Brush Creek Saloon, 9pm-1am. It's always fun at Brush Creek and the burgers are outstanding!
The following Friday, March 2, we're back in New Castle at The Black Dog Saloon. An earlier gig, 7:30-10pm, is still rockin' and it always seems like the whole town comes out to let off some end of the week steam.
Friday, 3/2, 7:30-10pm
A special event: The Logan Brothers' lead singer and guitarist, Steve Barbee, is doing a solo gig at Kanpai Sushi and Bar on Friday, March 9, starting at 7:30pm. Steve has a huge repertoire of acoustic, folk-rock that he does not do with The Logan Brothers and has had a hankering to play some of these. Catch him at Kanpai either March 9 and/or again on April 6. He'll miss the drums and bass, but doesn't have to argue about what to play!!!!
We've got something for everyone this weekend: Friday and Saturday play; early and late!
It starts with a trip up the gondola, this Friday, February 9, for The Glenwood Caverns Friday Afternoon Club (FAC). The music starts at 5 and continues to 8:30pm. The tram ride is free after 4pm if you tell them you're coming for the music! There are food and drink specials every half an hour. If you get bored with all the fantastic Logan Brothers' music (no way!), there are all the other attributes of The Caverns to enjoy such as rides, the cave, the gift shop, etc. It's always a fun time playing at The Caverns. We've never had a bad time and the same holds true for the listeners, we think!
Not able to make it Friday? No problem, we're playing at The Black Nugget in Carbondale on Saturday night, February 10. This is a later gig (9:30pm-1am) for those of you interested in being out late and getting rowdy at The Nugget. We may be a little rowdier as well, cranking up the volume and playing a bit more electric. We'll see what the people want!
As is true for both gigs, we'll play what you want to hear off our ever-popular request list.
We hope to see you at one or both of these gigs!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from The Logan Brothers. It's been a great year for us playing many new venues throughout the Roaring Fork, Colorado and Eagle River corridors, adding new songs to our repertoire, gaining new friends, honing our sound, and having a great time playing live music! We look forward to more of the same in 2018.
Speaking of 2018, our new Gig Calendar is now posted on our website; you can access our calendar button by clicking here. If you have not perused our website in a while, you should click here to hear some music samples and view our slideshow and videos.
Meanwhile, look below to see where we will be playing this Christmas week. We hope to see you In Snowmass Village or Carbondale coming up!
The Logan Brothers are thrilled to return to The Carbondale Beer Works this Friday night, 11/17, from 9pm to midnight. We are expecting a musical guest to sit in with us for a set, so it should be an exceptionally fun night (you have to show up to see who it is!). You can always count on The Beer Works to be a particularly great place to hang out in Carbondale on a Friday night. They have great craft beers, good food, and, let's face it, this is where the Carbondaleans are on Friday nights. We hope that you are one of those people. Help us, help The Beer Works to Rock this Friday night!
Hey, The Logan Brothers are super-excited to return to The Black Dog Saloon this Friday night, October 30, for a 7:30-10pm show! We had a blast when we played there last summer. The folks from New Castle really know how to have a good time and The Black Dog is the center of fun on Friday nights. Good food, full bar and a fun atmosphere with a great crowd.
We've been running around in and out of the valley lately, so it's good to be playing close to home this week. In November, we'll be heading back to Eagle to the Brush Creek Saloon, and then to Carbondale to play The Beer Works. As always you can find our always up-to-date calendar by going here and clicking our calendar button at the bottom of the page.
While you're here, take a look at the rest of our website. We look forward to seeing you soon!
After a nice three-week August break, The Logan Brothers are rested and ready to play again. We currently have five gigs scheduled for September which will bring us to five different towns, in and out of the valley, starting with Snowmass Village this Friday, September 1. If you are up-valley for the Labor Day concerts at the base of Snowmass Village, come on up to Slow Groovin' Barbecue on the mall for some after music music. Slow Groovin" has fantastic food and a great bar. It's also a great room to play; great sound. We start at 9:30pm and continue to closing.
Later in September we'll be playing for The Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers' End of the Season Barbecue (public invited), in Basalt's Arbaney Park, Carbondale's October Fest, Eagle's Brush Creek Saloon, and Glenwood Springs' Harvest Festival. More on all these events as we get closer. Of course you can always view our always up-to-date calendar by clicking on the button on this page to see the details of these gigs now!
The Logan Brothers have a busy week ahead, so we thought we'd put all this activity into one post.
Our week starts on Wednesday, August 2, when we are returning to the Garfield County Fair for our second year. Our gig is from 7:15-8:30pm. We'll be on the main stage near the entrance to the rodeo grounds. This is a fun gig for us because we're on a really, really big stage with a sound engineer taking care of our sound (and it's a big sound!). So, rain or shine, people there or not, we're going to have a blast feeling like rock stars! Of course, we'd prefer for you to be there and hope that you will be!
On Thursday, August 3, 5-7pm, we're playing at New Castle Farmers' Market. We've always enjoyed this market and it is worth your time; great vendors, food and atmosphere. We set up in the gazebo and play to a very appreciative crowd. If you get the chance come on down. This is an up-and-coming farmers' market.
If you miss us at any of the previously mentioned venues and you are all the way up Valley on Saturday, August 5, we'll be playing at the Aspen Farmers' Market. This market, located at the intersection of Hyman and Hunter Streets, runs from 11-2:30pm. Our drummer, Danny, is out of town for this gig, so it will just be Steve and Jonathan; the original Logan Brothers Duo.
We hope to see you at one of these gigs this week!
If you haven't been to the Glenwood Caverns to hear live music, you need to add it to your bucket list! In fact, why not cross it off this Friday, July 28!
This Friday, The Logan Brothers are making their third appearance at The Caverns this summer; this time to play at their Friday Afternoon Club (FAC) from 5-8:30pm.
Pictured left is the view you will see while listening to us play. Enjoy drink specials announced every half hour, a great menu and, of course, the music. The Logan Brothers are famous for their request list; we play what you want to hear from our eighty-plus list of great songs that we cover. Remember, the tram ride is free after 4pm if you tell them that you're coming up for the music. We look forward to seeing your there!
We've been looking forward to playing at this event all season:
The Rifle Book Cliffs Arts Council sponsors an event, the Hilltop Summer Concert Series. Every Sunday night throughout the summer, they host live music at their Arts Center on the hilltop off 16th street. People bring their picnic dinners, blankets and chairs and sit and listen to music in the most lovely setting.
This Sunday, July 23, from 6-8pm, The Logan Brothers are lucky to be returning to play here. We look forward to you joining us and enjoying our music and this great setting. This really is one of our favorite places to play. Come and see why!
For the second time this summer season, Friday, June 23, The Logan Brothers are heading up the tram to play at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure park; this time, as part of their Friday Afternoon Club (FAC) music series. Every Friday late afternoons during the summer, The Caverns hosts bands and single musicians to play from 5-8pm. As with their Music on the Mountain Series, tram rides are free after 4pm if you tell them you're coming for music. This is great for music-lovers and others who like to unwind after a long week! It's great for old rockers like us as well as it is an early gig. Last Saturday we all got to bed around 3am after a particularly late gig. So, we promise you all kinds of great energy and the usual Logan Brothers' passion. We always enjoy our gigs at The Caverns and really appreciate their commitment to live music.
Next up for The Logan Brothers is another late afternoon gig (5-8pm) at the New Glenwood Farmers' Market, next Tuesday, June 27. We'll be playing in Sayre (Strawberry) Park at the Gazebo, while there will be booths of fresh produce and and other great food and crafts as usual at farmers' markets. We look Forward to that event.
Finally, on the last day of June, we'll be in New Castle playing our first gig at The Black Dog Saloon. this gig is from 7-10pm.
The Logan Brothers' News page is written by Logan Brother Jonathan Satz. Jonathan is the Bass player in the band as well as the general band marketing guru. He looks forward to comments and interaction and doesn't take himself too seriously!
